Remuneration: $137,173 per annum - $163,431 per annum + super and annual leave loading
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Manager Serious Misconduct Investigation is responsible for the case management of all NSW Ambulance investigations relating to misconduct, serious offences, child protection, corruption matters, and industrial issues arising from these. The position holder supervises a team of investigators and is required to ensure the timely and effective management of all NSW Ambulance cases within that team and report on these to the Director.

The Senior Manager Serious Misconduct Investigation is also responsible for supporting the Director in identifying systems issues and trends arising from allegations and investigations and works closely with senior management across the organisation to build capacity amongst managers in dealing with these complex issues and building misconduct and corruption resistance. The position holder works closely with the Director in developing and delivering legislation, policy and training relating to professional and ethical standards and as such, has a key role in fostering a culture of high ethical work standards and practices and professional conduct across NSW Ambulance.

ABOUT YOU

As our ideal candidate:

  • You will have experience in leading and coordinating a team of investigators conducting multiple complex investigations, often highly confidential in nature. 
  • You will be grounded in best practice investigative approaches while supporting your teams wellbeing.
  • You will be adaptable and comfortable with uncertainty. You will be self-driven with outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will bring high-level integrity, ethics, judgement, and an ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.
  • Become a highly valued leader of our Investigations team within NSW Ambulance Professional Conduct & Integrity Unit (PCI).
