Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist

An exciting permanent opportunity is currently available to work for a council in the Southeast suburbs.

  • Flexible work arrangement.
  • Permanent part time (.8fte).

We are seeking a professional, flexible and resilient Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist to join the team. This role will provide support to the safety team and is responsible for actively leading and addressing OHS compliance requirements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the corporate and business planning process.
  • Provide support to managers on legal compliance regarding workcover.
  • Coordinate health and safety programs.
  • High Stakeholder engagement with external bodies.

Key requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Health and Safety especially in the psychosocial hazards.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention and injury management strategies.
  • Knowledge of workplace injury rehabilitation and compensation of act 2013.
  • Able to apply a data driven approach to health and wellbeing issues across the organization.
  • Able to work autonomously in a tight knit team.
