Coordinator, Human Resources

You will be responsible for providing workforce administration; recruitment and selection; and leave management.  You will communicate with all levels of the organization, to provide information and assist with queries regarding HR matters. The Human Resources Coordinator is a critical member of the HR Team.

The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) supports Australian athletes to become world's best. We are a nationally focused high performance centre and Olympic and Paralympic training facility based at Sydney Olympic Park, reaching all regions of NSW. In partnership with the national high performance sport system and national and state sporting bodies we enable, impact and support targeted athletes, coaches and performance support staff to prepare for international competition. Performance is at the centre of all that we do and our people are our greatest performance advantage.

Key challenges for the role include:

  • Manage varying workflows to ensure the highest standard of HR services is delivered
  • Openly communicate and influence various stakeholders to ensure adherence to best practice in HR.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR compliance across all areas of HR deliverables
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with stakeholder

To be considered for the role you must address the following selection criteria in a Cover Letter of not more than two pages:

  • 3 + years generalist HR experience including interpreting and applying employment legislation, Agreements, Awards and HR Policies and Procedures
  • 1 + years experience managing end to end recruitment
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining excellent working partnerships
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills
  • Qualifications in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Human Resource legislation, preferably GSEA, 2013, GSE Regs and Rules, 2014, Agreements, Awards, Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of computerized HR system, preferably CONNX

The salary for the role is $71,870 – $76,183 (Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and demonstrated competency level).

This is an identified position requiring a Working with Children Check.

The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2020 in line with the Olympic cycle and all other NSWIS Employment Contracts.
