Building on the success of 2016, Ozwater’17 will use enhanced technological insights to drive the most exciting program yet. With a new Innovation Stream and enhanced exhibitor interactions, Ozwater’17 will again attract a dynamic and diverse audience, from professionals working across industries relating to water, decision and policy makers through to students, scientists and researchers.


The FMA Conference has been held annually for over 50 years and is the most respected flood risk management event held in Australia. The conference will mark the tenth anniversary of the "Pasha Bulker" storm, and extensive flooding which occurred in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. The conference will feature improvements to flood risk management since 2007, inspections of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme and the Newcastle Flash Flood Alert Service, which is the first of its kind in New South Wales.


This year's Research Facilities Design and Development (RFDD) event draws upon the fundamentals of designing new research facilities, retro fitting existing buildings and managing facilities to optimize research while maintaining operational costs. This event will focus on addressing the importance incorporating inter-disciplinary collaboration when designing, developing and maintaining flexible multi purpose facilities.


After a successful launch in 2016, Research Innovation is now in its second year. The event has been developed as a meeting place to bring together Universities, Industry and Government stakeholders to discuss a game plan to build research commercialisation, collaboration and engagement, to grow productivity and unlock new opportunities in a changing economy.


The seventh biennial Leaders in Indigenous Medical Education (LIME) Network LIME Connection will be held in Melbourne, Australia in 2017.

The event will be co-hosted by Deakin University, Monash University and the University of Melbourne.

The conference will encourage strengths based presentations relating to Indigenous health teaching and learning, curriculum development and research; community engagement; and the recruitment and graduation of Indigenous students in the health professions.
