Health Service Manager

The Health Service Manager is accountable for effective clinical and corporate governance, organisational and strategic management, service planning, development and management. Manage workforce functions including recruitment, induction, professional development, performance reviews and performance management. This will include development, design and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
Gunnedah is a bustling historic township and the hub of the Liverpool Plains. The hospital is a 48 bed facility and with the community health centre they provide services in cardiac rehabilitation, community nursing, child and family health, obstetrics, surgery, dental, mental health, drug and alcohol counselling, palliative care, rehabilitation and therapy services, physiotherapy and speech pathology.
Located forty five minute to Tamworth, and the Rural Referral Hospital, Gunnedah's population of eight thousand enjoy the close proximity to support links with daily flights to major capital cities. The districts fertile soil is dedicated to the production of cotton, coal, beef, lamb, pork and various cereals hosting Australia's leading agriculture show every year in August. Gunnedah has two pre-schools, four primary schools, two secondary schools and a school for children with special intellectual and physical needs along with a variety of cuisines from the local restaurants, pubs, clubs and takeaway venues.
