Position Summary

An experienced Respiratory Physician is required to provide effective general medicine and respiratory medicine services to Tamworth Hospital.

The role involves:

- General medicine and respiratory medicine services to inpatients of Tamworth Hospital

- Privately referred outpatient consultancy / procedural service in your own rooms

- Participate in the after hours general medicine on-call / call back roster

- Involvement in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programs

Tamworth, with a population of 60,000, is located inland half way between Sydney and Brisbane. Tamworth is a thriving regional city and includes ease of access with daily flights to the closest major capital cities, big wide open spaces, a welcoming and friendly community, affordable housing and great opportunities for you and your family to pursue your past-time passions.

Being locally based, to provide safe, efficient and effective general medicine and respiratory medicine services to inpatients in Tamworth Hospital and other sites by negotiation.

The work will occur in both the public and private sector in Tamworth.

Through private practice be involved in providing a privately referred outpatient consultancy / procedural service based at Tamworth.

Active participation in after hours General Medicine on-call / call back roster.

Professional leadership and coordination of activities for other staff involved in the general medicine related services.
