A unique opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced professional to take up this senior position within the Communications & Engagement team.

Joining the team at an exciting time, the successful applicant will provide strategic and proactive community engagement to ensure durable stakeholder relationship services for Wannon Water.

This position will build upon the capacity of Wannon Water employees to provide best practice community engagement and partnerships, and will play a key role in the delivery of Wannon Water’s Community Strategy.

 To be considered for this role you will require:

  • Expertise in planning, implementing and managing multiple community engagement projects on a strategic and practical level (i.e. project management skills)
  • Experience and training in the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) or other recognised community and/or stakeholder engagement training programs
  • Ability to manage, prioritise and balance conflicting work priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to supervise, train and develop skill levels of other employees
  • Commitment to the principles of best practice community engagement
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant area of work

The successful applicant will be qualified in communications, community development, social planning or a related field and will be a highly supportive and collaborative team player. 

Flexibility in working hours can be considered for the right applicant.

This position offers a salary in the range of $78,691 to $87,780 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation.
