Primary Purpose of the Role 

The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor supports delivery and implementation of the stakeholder engagement function for projects, operational and corporate engagement and relationship building activities, to support the achievement of Service NSW objectives.

The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor provides stakeholder advice to the Director, Stakeholder Engagement to ensure that Service NSW presents as a professional, integrated organisation. The activities of this role focus on delivering and implementing the relationship and engagement strategy, framework and systems, Service NSW projects, client and partnership relationships, stakeholder meetings and working groups, risks and issues management, community engagement, industry and peak bodies.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Manage the delivery and implementation of various stakeholder engagement programs and project communications for the team ensuring key deliverables are achieved and the reputation of the organisation is maintained.
  • Implement Service NSW’s strategic engagement strategy ensuring multi-channel communication strategies are in place to meet the needs of clients, partners, business and the organisation.
  • Develop, implement and increase integrity of the organisation to strengthen ties in its communities and partners, including community events.
  • Develop and manage the internal communication program for this role to build workforce unity, promote information sharing and facilitate achievement of goals and priorities.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships to exchange information with client groups, community, other levels of government and other stakeholders to inform strategic and operational decisions related to programs and services.
 
Essential Requirements:
  • MUST be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen to apply for permanent roles within Service NSW.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Community Engagement and/or Business Management will be preferred.
  • Broad experience in senior stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, community engagement and public relations roles.
  • Strong experience in maintaining strong internal and external relationships to exchange information with various client groups on the strategic and operational decisions related to programs and services.
  • High level knowledge and understanding of the government and public administration legislative processes, protocols and reporting requirements will be an advantage.
