The organisation has been undergoing a transformation, and an exciting opportunity exists to lead and establish an Insight Centre for AV to oversee AV's data, analytics and reporting insights.
About the role
The Director, Data and Insights leads the organisation wide governance, reporting and insights to meet the growing demand for reporting, analytics and planning services. The position holder will be required to forge collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders to effectively anticipate business needs and contextualise data.
This position will be responsible for setting and driving the strategic data and analytics agenda to ensure decision making at AV is underpinned by data, analytics and insight. This position will be leading the establishment and internal branding of the newly established Insight Centre and will promote the adoption of appropriate agile and contemporary disciplines to support operations of this centre with an agile mindset.
Tertiary or post graduate qualified in a data related discipline, the successful candidate will experience engaging with and providing advice to senior levels and key external stakeholders, ideally within a public sector environment. While you will be supported by the team within the insight centre, you will be a single point of accountability for the delivery of data, reporting and analytics to key business stakeholders.
As the Director, you will also be abreast of the current trends in data and analytics, and will be a strong people manager with the ability to foster a team culture that drives innovative and agile approaches to data and analytics. You will need a sound understanding of agile work practices and extensive experience preparing and overseeing high level, detailed and complex reports and working with analytical processes and products.
Candidates will be subject to conduct checks as required under the Victorian Public Sector Commission's Executive Pre-Employment Screening Policy.
