Regional Manager Volunteer Sustainability

- $105,540 pa (plus 9.50% superannuation)
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.
Reporting to the Manager Volunteer Sustainability at state level, the Regional Manager Volunteer Sustainability is responsible for leading and driving the growth of volunteerism and brigade sustainability at the regional level.
This position will manage the regional Volunteer Sustainability Team and allocate resources responsible for supporting Fire & Emergency Management with the identification, analysis and delivery of the activities that enhance brigade viability and volunteerism at the brigade, catchment, district or regional level (dependent on local needs and priorities).
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, humanities or equivalent experience in the field of volunteerism and/or community development and engagement.
- Experience and high level expertise in the field of sustainable volunteerism.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating multiple and/or complex projects, preferably within a community based environment and an understanding of project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and identify risk factors and to plan and develop mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team, obtain effective cooperation and contribution from a range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to negotiate, influence and deliver agreed outcomes.
