Finance Manager

Position: Finance Manager

Remuneration: $130,000 to $150,000 p/a + benefits (based on experience)

Location: Perth with monthly travel to Roebourne, WA

About the Position: Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of everything ‘Finance’.  

Supported by a team of highly capable finance professionals, the Finance Manager:

  • manages and oversees the financial functions across all business units including, but not limited to, the annual calendar of financial deliverables including budgets, reports, audits, payroll, analysis; 
  • develops and support business plans that align with the strategic direction, including initiatives that improve the financial stability and growth, of NBAC including our not-for-profit and commercial frameworks; 
  • Partners with the executive team to assess performance and identify areas of risk and improvement;
  • leads, mentors and empowers the finance team to continue delivering high quality work and ensure operational needs and future projects are supported

About You: We are looking for an individual who has the passion, initiative and determination to bring our financial capability and sophistication to the next level.

Ideally you will have worked with indigenous communities and diverse groups and have a thorough understanding and respect of Cultural protocols. 

Essential Experience: 

  • CPA, Bachelor of Business or Commerce, or other relevant financial qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Senior Management Financial role
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and staff management;
  • Strong strategic financial reporting and analytical skills who is confidently able to provide advice on appropriate strategies and structures;
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and analysis of financial performance
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels;
  • Proven experience to rapidly establish and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Highly organised, strong problem-solving skills and capable of working independently; and
  • Current WA driver’s licence, pass a National Police Check and have the capacity to travel daily to Karratha on a monthly basis.
