About the role
 
We have an opportunity for a Applications Developer to be part of our Digital Technology & Innovation team. The Application Developer works within a team to develop, implement, maintain and support software, web, and multi-media applications which facilitate business outcomes.

This is a temporary role and employment is either as temporary employment under Rule 11 of the Government Sector Employment (NSW Police Force) Rules 2017temporary assignment under Rule 15 of the Government Sector Employment (NSW Police Force) Rules 2017 or a secondment under section 95 of the Police Act 1990 up to 3 years.
 
Essential requirements 

  • Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for this role.
  • Relevant qualifications in a related Information Technology discipline or demonstrated experience in solutions development.
  • Ability to maintain and provide 24 hours/7 days per week support for applicants ensuring reliability and high availability as per team rosters.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross train in different technologies.

Target Question 1:
Provide recent example of your experience as an Adabas/Natural developer working on a large complex IT systems interfacing real time with other systems.
a. Include documentations prepared.
b. Include tasks performed (analysis, coding, etc.)
c. Include experience in using JCL, XML and TSO.
 
Target Question 2:
Provide recent example of how you have provided support and maintenance of applications. Include how issues are resolved in a timely manner and how it is communicated to the client/stakeholders.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 12 months.
