About us
Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

About the opportunity
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering innovative enterprise technology solutions? Join the Suburban Rail Loop Authority and lead the management, governance, and delivery of critical technology platforms that power one of Victoria’s most ambitious infrastructure programs.
Reporting to the Manager, Technology Operations and Platforms, your key accountabilities will include:
- Providing strong leadership and hands-on management of SRLA Enterprise Technology Platform portfolio including Platform Roadmap, Governance, Commercial, Policy, Service Management, Operations, Delivery and Support
- Making day-to-day decisions related to the Supporting Technology Platforms in accordance with agreed Data, Technology and organisational policies, as well as strategic architecture governance, principles, standards and patterns
- Delivering high-quality Supporting Technology Platform services and enabling business excellence by supporting continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation
- Maintaining responsibility of end-to-end platform commercial aspects, including funding needs, coordinating licensing, demand management, subscriptions, billing and cross-charging, ensuring this detail is documented for clarity and promote visibility through operational reporting
- Proactively conducting risk management activities through implementing controls to ensure the Supporting Technology Platforms can be delivered by the team
- Contributing to the development of a constructive and collaborative culture across the team as a component of the Technology Operations and Platforms unit, Technology Services branch and SRLA as a whole
- Motivating and driving the team to continuously learn, deliver high-quality outputs and ensure deliverables are produced on time
This is a permanent, full-time role. You will work in a hybrid work model with access to a range of flexible working arrangements.

About you
- A strong leader who is able develop the team to provide excellent service covering a range of IT Platforms, including infrastructure, Microsoft 365 focused cloud technologies, service management (ServiceNow), modern workplace and security
- Significant experience in leading the delivery of multiple projects and identifying and managing associated delivery risks
- Knowledge of trends across the technology industry and how to leverage these to deliver effective and cost-efficient IT services
- Ability to establish service level agreements and manage vendor relationships to deliver to agreed outcomes.
- Strong ability to build and maintain professional customer-oriented IT delivery and support functions and leveraging technical expertise and fostering effective collaboration to deliver strategic organisational outcomes
- Experience leading and driving the development, implementation and review of IT policy, standards and common approaches at an organisational-wide level, and implementing effective IT governance to ensure data integrity and assurance and cost effectiveness
- Extensive experience in the design, implementation and management of IT Platforms in a medium sized or complex organisation, including transitioning to operations, support operating models, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or ITIL 4 Foundations certification
