Preferred locations: Leeton, Deniliquin and Buronga, or anywhere within South West NSW.

What you’ll do:
- Providing Leadership: delivering strategic priorities and developing the culture, capability and performance of our people in line with Operations performance objectives.
- Planning: Ensure the efficient and effective planning, budgeting, scheduling, optimisation and execution of maintenance, operations and monitoring for the region of responsibility.
- Regional Representation: Be an active presence in the community within the region. Support the execution of our Regional Community engagement strategy and a key local contact for communities and stakeholders (eg customers, councils, other government agencies).
- Development: Support and contribute to initiatives for knowledge sharing, cross skilling, and team development to deliver quality, efficiency and alignment in all activities across all regions.
- Innovation: Drive and support the adoption of appropriate technology, automation and optimisation to manage all resources most effectively
- Knowledge Management: Drive effective knowledge management across the region to deliver consistent and reliable execution of operational activities and ensure business continuity is maximised.
- Incident Management: Accountable for a coordinated and appropriate response to operational incidents, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure continued safe water supply.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in developing high performing work teams, building relationships, negotiating, conflict resolution, driving change and communicating with all levels.
- Experience in maintaining and operating large scale infrastructure and asset management systems.
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements in which Water NSW operates.
- Knowledge of the approach for effective maintenance and operations management systems.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through periods of change, ideally within a regional environment.
- A current NSW Driver's License.
