Power BI Developer
Randstad is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to find an experienced Power BI Developer for an initial 6 month contract with potential of extension. This role is based in Fortitude Valley with WFH flexibility.
Key accountabilities:
- Work in partnership with the business to understand business needs and gathering business requirements.
- Follow defined quality standards in the development of data requirements, and enterprise information models and views.
- Develop business intelligence solutions while complying with best practices and standards, including reports and visualisations, to deliver analytical and data products.
- Support metadata design and maintenance, developing and maintaining the formal description of the data and data structures.
- Use ethical decision-making and project management principles in the achievement of project goals.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- Proven experience in the delivery of complex business intelligence projects or products.
- Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal skills at all levels, including strong stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering skills.
- Proven ability in facilitating effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in the creation and maintenance of PowerBI reporting products and business intelligence dashboards.
- Experience in SQL server DB query design.
- Experience in Data Modelling and its methodologies through SQL Server Visual Data Modelling tools, M/PowerQuery, DAX and similar.
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
