Postgraduate Fellow in Emergency Medicine, Tamworth Hospital

  • 12 month full time fixed term contract
We are seeking FACEM’s to join our dynamic Emergency Medicine team. With a significant number of “hot trauma” and all the acute presentations that enticed you to take up a career in Emergency Medicine, why don’t you come and join us. This position is ideal for those candidates wishing to gain more experience within a busy regional emergency department with a broad range of presentations. This position will have clinical privileges in Emergency Medicine with admitting rights, and you will participate on the senior on-call roster. 

About the job:

  • New state of the are $260 million Acute Services building opened in July 2015
  • Tamworth Hospital has a busy ED with approximately 46,000 presentations p.a.; 25% admission rate and 30% paediatric case load
  • Opportunity to become involved in the well-integrated ACEM trainee education program.
  • You will be well supported by a team of colleagues with a good mix of experience and enthusiasm, providing mentoring and support

What you'll be doing
Provide a safe, efficient and effective Emergency Service at a Postgraduate Fellow level to the Tamworth Hospital and Hunter New England Local Health District. Members of the emergency team may also have an opportunity to provide a clinical service to Armidale Hospital. 
This is a full-time position however job-share arrangements will be considered.
An eligibility list will be created for similar positions, both permanent and temporary, in the future.
