What you'll be doing
0.2 FTE Research and teaching undertaken and focused on paediatric neuromuscular clinical trials. The position would be temporary for 3 years.  The research staff specialist will be responsible for (1) the day to day assessment of children in various neuromuscular clinical trials, according to clinical trial protocol (2) leading specific clinical trials as PI, in conjunction with other Neurogenetics staff specialists (3) working collaboratively with the KR Clinical Research Centre (CRC) in the organisation and delivery of neuromuscular clinical trials (4) assisting with the completion of feasibility questionnaires and other documentation prior to clinical trial commencement (5) contribute to the Neurogenetics Clinical Service including outpatient clinics every 2nd week, with this requirement being modified depending on clinical trial workload (6) educating and supervising other medical and research staff involved in neuromuscular clinical trials (7) Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff (8) Abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
