Just a few days are left for submissions on a review of the Queensland Public Sector (QPS).

Submissions for the review of accountability and culture in the QPS close on April 4.

Professor Peter Coaldrake, who is running the review, wants government workers to share their personal experiences. The deadline for submissions was extended after “widespread interest”.

“To date, most submissions have focused on issues relating to individual accountability bodies and the overlaps and underlaps amongst them,” Coaldrake said in a recent statement.

“The review is particularly interested to receive submissions from members of the community or public sector employees which relate to their own experience of the workings and culture of the public sector.

“Suggestions for streamlining and simplification of processes, from both the consumer and user perspective, are also most welcome,” he said.

Prof Coaldrake says it is important to find out how issues of culture can influence government activities.
