The Queensland Government has called for expressions of interest for funding under the third round of the Natural Disaster Resilience Program.

 

A total of $10 million is on offer from the State and Federal governments on a dollar-for-dollar partnership basis for projects that hell communities prepare for natural disasters..

Since the initial funding round was announced in 2009, more than 100 projects from across the state worth around $20 million have received funding.

 

Applications will be assessed by a committee comprising representatives of the Local Government Association of Queensland, Emergency Management Queensland, the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service and the Department of Community Safety.
