As a Land Information Officer - Place Names you will perform the administrative functions to register place names in accordance with the Place Names Act 1967; support the Place Names Committee for the NT; and ensure place name and associated records are maintained and comply with statutory requirements. Applying your sound communication skills you will also prepare a range of correspondence, assessments, and reports; develop and maintain collaborative partnerships; and support the implementation of initiatives and new policies.
To be successful you will be required to demonstrate your ability to manage tasks, communicate well, and use integrated databases and systems. You will also need the ability to interact with a range of people from diverse backgrounds effectively and with sensitivity. Operational experience and knowledge in place naming, land survey, land administration or land development is an advantage; however if you have transferable skills from other industries and a demonstrated capacity to adapt quickly to new challenges, we encourage you to apply.
