What you'll be doing
The Work Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator ensures a consistent, proactive approach to WHS management across WSLHD, promoting a safe and compliant workplace for all. In this role you will:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate WHS initiatives.
• Provide expert advice and support to facilities and services.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and policies.
• Engage stakeholders in consultation and risk management.
• Focuse on incident prevention and workplace safety improvement.

1. Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying the principles of the WHS Act and Regulations 2017
2. Appropriate qualifications and / or extensive proven experience in WHS Management at a high level in a large service organisation
3. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and initiatives
4. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to: work effectively at all levels of the organization; influence and drive outcomes, through persuasion and the ability to gain respect and creditability with management and employees
5. Demonstrated effective decision making skills using strategic thinking for positive outcomes in WHS
6. Demonstrated experience in conducting training sessions for large and small groups.
7. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
8. Current Drivers License valid within Australia
