As the Engineering & Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for delivering key technical solutions for our NGNO Program. A key focus within this program of works is the delivery of our Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS). This role goes beyond project oversight; it involves leading a team that plays a vital role in the future of energy management. Your responsibilities will include strategic management, applying technical expertise, and fostering a commitment to innovation and excellence.
You will;
- Drive the development of technical solutions, including designs, design reviews, installation, and commissioning of control systems and associated technologies
- Lead and direct project teams, ensuring effective coordination and interdependencies management
- Identify, develop, and implement the AEMS solution and support deliverables including solution designs, environment management plans and data testing
- Proactively monitor and manage delivery, quality, and risks and, issues within the team’s delivery requirements and schedules
- Act as the external customer technical interface with key stakeholders such as generators, DNSPs and AEMO
- Oversee factory and site acceptance testing, procurement plans, tender evaluations, and negotiations

Your expertise
- Degree in electrical engineering with significant industry experience in management, information technology or industrial control systems
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
- Strong experience in leading large technical teams, fostering a professional, motivating work environment
- Project management proficiency, with a knack for delivering projects and operational activities on time and within budget
- Proven leadership in safety management, with a track record of identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Strategic operational planning skills, with the ability to translate business goals into measurable, cost-effective operational plans
