- Leading the way in climate science by providing strategic direction on climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation. Your expert insights will directly influence policies that safeguard our future.
- Driving a team of passionate specialists focused on climate and adaptation science, knowledge sharing, and innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
- Shaping climate projects that not only tackle today’s issues but prepare us for the future. Your guidance will ensure technical assessments are robust and solutions are sustainable.
- Forging connections across sectors—from government agencies to national and interstate climate science programs—you’ll be at the forefront of building collaborations that make a difference.
Who You Are:

What You’ll Do:
- Review and guide technical deliverables that are crucial to climate change strategies.
- Lead the SA Government’s climate science engagement at the state, national, and interstate levels.
- Drive projects and assessments that address the urgent and evolving challenges of climate change.
- Build lasting partnerships with scientists, policy makers, and industry to ensure integrated, forward-thinking solutions.

Essential Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in Climate Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or NRM disciplines is essential
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness to drive is desirable.
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- Intrastate travel including overnight absences may be required.
Remuneration: PO4 - $110,696 min - $120,470 max p.a.
