Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

We have an exciting ongoing position available in Darwin as a Senior Compliance officer - Wastewater to join our Assurance team, this position contributes to the operational effectiveness of Water Services by supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of wastewater quality compliance systems across both urban and remote communities. 

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be contributing to the management of wastewater compliance activities required under both NT and Commonwealth regulatory frameworks including licence or approval applications and negotiations on licence conditions. Conduct reviews of environmental risks and activities related to wastewater systems, identifying and contributing to the development of improvement plans and Environmental Management Plans that are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. 

You will have a mandatory minimum 3 or 4 year Science and Engineering degree recognised in Australia.

This position will coordinate wastewater monitoring programs and licenced activities as well as analysing data, preparing technical and management reports and submissions to key internal and external stakeholders.
