About us: 

An incredible opportunity exists to join a team of highly motivated leaders and collaborative partners to drive a unique and first of its kind initiative to develop sustainable commercially sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trial portfolios across a vast rural, regional and remote footprint in Northern NSW. 

The Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program (R3-CTEP) is a Commonwealth funded initiative aiming to deliver increased and more equitable access to clinical trials for patients in rural, regional and remote NSW. A key activity of the R3-CTEP is the establishment of three Clinical Trial Support Units across the state. The Northern NSW R3 Clinical Trial Support Unit (CTSU) incorporates a Northern Cluster of Local Health Districts - Hunter New England, Mid-North Coast, Northern NSW and the Central Coast. 

Location is negotiable within the Northern Cluster footprint (Tamworth, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour).

About the job:  

  • The Clinical Research Nurse/Clinical Trials Coordinator of The R3 Northern Cluster Rural, Regional and Remote (R3) for the Clinical Trial Support Unit (CTSU) is responsible for implementing Northern Cluster strategies and providing site-level clinical trial co-ordination to facilitate the conduct of Investigator Initiated, Commercially Sponsored and Collaborative Clinical Trials. 
  • The R3 Clinical Trial Support Unit Operations Manager and the R3 Cluster Manager will provide you support. Ongoing education and training opportunities will be available.

About you:

  • You will be highly self-motivated, proactive, with a strong work ethic and desire to increase access to clinical trials for rural, regional and remote populations
  • You will be dedicated to ensuring the efficiency and quality of clinical trial delivery across a diverse and complex environment. 

Requirements:

The successful applicant must hold a qualification in one of the following: Nursing, Science, Health Science which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency if applicable.
