General Manager
- Total Remuneration Package $200K—$220K (salary, superannuation, vehicle)
Riverina Water County Council is the major water provider to the local government areas of Wagga Wagga City Council, Lockhart Shire, and parts of Greater Hume Shire and Federation Council. Water is supplied to many townships from within those areas as well as an extensive rural network. Its headquarters are located in the City of Wagga Wagga.
The Council is constituted under the Local Government Act and has a Board of nine councillors and a staff of ninety. The 2016/17 Operating Budget was $22M and $24M for capital expenditure.
As General Manager, you will advise and work in harmony with the Board to ensure there is effective service delivery to all communities. You will provide leadership to the staff throughout the organisation and display by example the highest standards of ethics and governance principles.
The new General Manager will have appropriate tertiary qualifications as well as a proven track record in fostering a positive workplace culture. Exposure to the Local Government water industry would be an advantage.
