Project Manager Information Systems (Next Generation Tram Project)

About this opportunity

The Victorian Government is investing $1.85 billion in 100 Next Generation Trams (NGT) and a New Tram Maintenance and Stabling facility in Melbourne's west. To support this Yarra Trams requires a OCMS Project Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to assist with the delivering IT oriented (systems and application) projects as part of the OCMS team for Yarra Tram's NGT Project.

Reporting to the Program Manager OCMS this role will:

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Partner with OCMS NGT team and BAU teams to engage stakeholders, business stakeholders to manage timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
• Align projects to the Yarra Trams project methodology standards.
• Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all requirements are gathered, analyzed, and expectations are managed.
• Ensure that all activities and responsibilities of the designated project meet relevant standards and are aligned to broader ICT/OCMS strategy.
• Effectively manage the delivery of IT infrastructure and applications within the scope in line with service levels.

About you

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or significant proven experience, relevant to this discipline
• Project Management certification (PMBoK, RegPM, Prince2) or formal training equivalent
• 10 years of ICT project management experience in software applications.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodology and demonstrated expertise in applying sound project management practices and principles to projects.
• Knowledge of Project Management, Software Development Lifecycle, Agile and ITIL.

In addition you will be experienced in:

• Sourcing, commissioning, and developing Project IT infrastructure and applications.
• Managing stakeholder and user relationships in an operationally demanding environment.
• Implementing, configuring, maintaining, and managing enterprise applications.
• Implementing roster and workforce scheduling applications.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of application architectures across medium to large enterprise.
• Delivering medium to large scale application implementations using structured methodologies.
• Managing technical specialists, business analysts and managing vendors to contracts.
