Principal Intelligence Officer - Biosecurity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Intelligence Officer to join our client's team on a fixed-term, full-time basis in Brisbane. About the Role:

As the Principal Intelligence Officer, you will play a key role in establishing and enhancing the intelligence capability for biosecurity activities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic insights, lead intelligence operations, and mentor officers to drive compliance with the relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead intelligence gathering, analysis, and dissemination related to biosecurity regulations and compliance.
  • Collaborate with various organisations to coordinate efforts and share intelligence.
  • Oversee the full intelligence cycle, ensuring that findings are effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership teams based on data-driven insights.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and Machine Learning to improve intelligence processes.
  • Develop and lead intelligence projects, including creating project plans and documentation.
  • Mentor and train officers to cultivate an insights-driven culture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in intelligence roles, particularly within the government or biosecurity space. You will bring strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems. Your ability to communicate findings and guide strategic decision-making will be essential to your success in this role.
