Work Health and Safety Consultant

An exciting opportunity exists at Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) for a motivated and driven Work Health and Safety Consultant to join our Health Safety and Wellbeing team. NSLHD is looking for a WHS consultant who is interested in providing professional advice and assistance to a wide-ranging and diverse group of services across our District.
 
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time and Temporary Full Time until 30 November 2023
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 2
Remuneration: $1976.09 - $2333.12 per week

What you'll be doing

To provide expert WHS advice to stakeholders at Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) sites and services.
Strategically - To actively develop policies and procedures in relation to WHS management using risk management principles and provide the strategic direction for WHS management across NSLHD.
 
Operationally - To provide timely expert advice and training to managers. To provide written reports following audits and workplace visits in a timely manner.
 
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
 
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria

1. Please outline your WHS qualifications and experience that make you suitable for the role.
2. What experience have you had in developing and implementing WHS policies and procedures?
3. Demonstrate how you have facilitated change into the work environment and, evaluate and report on program implementation? What negotiation and mediation skills did you use?
4. Please outline the different strategies you have used to ensure you communicate effectively.
5. How would you describe your level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Software and computers?
