Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Sydney Cell and Gene Therapy (SCGT) is a joint venture of translational researchers involved in the development of advanced therapeutics in the areas of cellular therapy, antibiotic resistance, islet transplantation and gene therapy. 

The Quality Officer will support operational and quality management activities related to cell and gene therapy product manufacture and clinical trials.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Degree in Economics, Health Economics, Statistics, Epidemiology or Biostatistics, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
  2. Experience is conducting economic evaluations e.g., cost effectiveness and cost-benefit studies in health or another area.
  3. Excellent quantitative skills including use of econometric, statistical bio statistical or epidemiology methods to analyse cross sectional and panel data.
  4. Experience in conducting literature reviews and preparing systematic reviews.
  5. Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and participation in the presentation of research study findings.
  6. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills including demonstrated experience of working on concurrent research projects.
  7. Excellent attention to details and ability to work within the constraints of a research protocol.
  8. Proficiency in a range of computer applications including Microsoft Office, medical electronic databases (e.g., Medline, PubMed, Embase), REDCap and research software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, EndNote, NVivo).
