Fixed term contract positions until 31 December 2014 with option for extension and/or permanency.
The Resources Safety Divisionis establishing a pool of suitably experienced candidates who would like to be considered for placements immediately and within the next twelve months as further positions become available over the 12 month life of the pool.
The Position
As a Dangerous Goods Officer you will provide advice to industry and promote high levels of safety in the storage, manufacture, use and handling of dangerous goods at major hazard facilities.
Other duties include administering and enforcing the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004 and regulations, including assessment of safety reports and supporting information, auditing compliance, collecting and analysing dangerous goods incident information and developing preventative measures.
