  • TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 6/7, base salary starting from $100,011 + 11.5% superannuation & leave loading

About the Role…

Are you ready to lead the charge in creating a thriving, safe, and supportive workplace? Supporting Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo, we're looking for a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Advisor to drive our health and wellbeing initiatives.

You'll be at the forefront of our mission to foster a culture where our team can be at their best, both physically and psychologically. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape and implement wellbeing strategies, manage health programs, and make a tangible impact on our team's overall wellness.

Your role is to lead and champion a culture of safety and wellbeing, providing guidance to the management team and ensuring compliance with the various regulations.

Key Accountabilities…

  • Lead Health Monitoring Programs: Spearhead the development and execution of health monitoring and surveillance programs, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Oversee Injury Management: Manage the injury management process, including consultation with supervisors and injured workers, ensuring effective recovery and return-to-work plans while maintaining compliance and supporting psychological safety.
  • Administer Fitness for Work: Oversee the fitness for work process to uphold our duty of care and ensure team members are ready and fit for their roles.
  • Promote Psychological Safety: Implement and manage strategies that focus on psychological safety, using a biopsychosocial approach to support both physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify areas of risk to workers' health and wellbeing, implementing comprehensive strategies and programs to prevent harm and promote a safe work environment.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategies: Contribute to the creation and execution of robust workplace strategies that integrate psychological safety and wellbeing into our overall health and safety framework.

About You…

  • You are a passionate health and wellbeing professional with a strong background in managing psychosocial risks and implementing mental health programs.
  • With an allied health degree or extensive experience in the field, you are adept at identifying health risks and developing proactive strategies to enhance wellbeing.
  • Your experience in injury management and RTW certification will enable you to support our team effectively.
  • You're committed to making a difference and thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments.
  • Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check
