The opportunity
The Executive Director/CIO is responsible for leading the Business Technology Services Division and providing input into the strategic direction of the SRO as a key member of the Executive team. The role also provides expert advice, guidance, management and leadership across all aspects of the SRO's digital environment including software platforms, applications and digital product design, solutions delivery and support, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, IT strategy, architecture and data management, planning, procurement and project management.
Reporting to the Commissioner of State Revenue, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the Business Technology Services Division across all aspects of the portfolio.
- Maintaining an efficient and cost-effective revenue management systems environment, together with delivering the highest standards of cybersecurity.
- Ensuring that the technology used by the SRO is up-to-date, efficient and cost-effective and provides modern services for both our customers and staff.
- Contributing to the leadership and continuous improvement of the SRO and its culture.
- Ensuring robust and effective financial management across all aspects of the SRO's technology program
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated extensive and successful senior leadership experience providing strategic digital and information technology capability and services in a complex multistakeholder environment.
- Significant successful experience in the establishment and management of strategic IT contracts and partnerships and the delivery of complex systems modernisation programs.
- High level communication, negotiation and demonstrated people management skills.
- Demonstrated strategic and operational business planning experience, including a sound understanding of business performance measures and corporate outcomes.
- A deep understanding of modern technology and how it can be applied to benefit customers and employees.
