At least two (2) fixed term Customer Service Officer Grade 2 positions are being offered in the Operations Division, based in Melbourne. The fixed term roles are available up to 30 June 2021.

The role

These roles assist customers across various channels, with a strong focus on resolving telephone and email enquiries. In addition, the roles support the administration of various revenue lines, including updating and maintaining our customer databases, supporting effective and efficient customer services and debt recovery.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to a Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling routine enquiries from customers via telephone, email and other correspondence channels.
  • Accurately updating and maintaining our customer databases.
  • Achieving agreed performance targets.     

The ideal candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A passion and commitment for delivering quality customer service within a multi-channel environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience talking to customers over the phone and writing to them.
  • A focus on results, with the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment where you are expected to problem solve and achieve outcomes.
  • The ability to negotiate with customers, for example in relation to debt payment arrangements.
  • Sound computer literacy skills.
