About the role

Queensland Rail’s Information, Communications & Technology (ICT) team is responsible for delivering a broad range of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for an innovative and solutions focussed Program Manager with exceptional stakeholder management skills to join our ICT Delivery team. The ICT Program Manager will be responsible for proactively partnering with our business lines to ensure clear stakeholder engagement plans are executed, project interdependencies are managed, and business outcomes are achieved. If you are an experienced Project Manager and looking for an entry level Program Management role, then we would also love to have a conversation with you.

What you will be doing: 

  • Managing a diverse range of projects from small “minor works” activities through to complex business change projects
  • Leading, assisting, and supporting procurement activities and contract negotiations
  • Managing project governance and assurance requirements
  • Effectively managing project funding and forecasting and associated project administration

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience and innovation with record of achievements in delivering ICT projects
  • A willingness and desire to coach and mentor junior team members
  • A spirit of collaboration to work with others and deliver the best, cost-effective solutions for QR, ICT and our business customers
  • A high level of resilience
