Recruitment Co-ordinator (Sports)

 

Melbourne Sports Institute is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working employee to join our Sports Administration team at our offices in Caulfield South. This full-time position involves recruiting, managing, coordinating, and organising the allocation of umpires and coaches for inter-school sports competitions on a weekly basis for Primary and Secondary School clients. 

About the role

Reporting to the Coach and Umpire Allocations Manager, this position will assist in the rostering of sports officials to clients, building and maintaining existing and new client relationships and marketing our services to new and existing clientele. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences for client schools and organisations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for staffing and allocating new and current sporting officials, to ensure the daily demand of fixtures are staffed.

Skills & Experience

  • Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce, HR or a related field preferred. 
  • Proven experience in recruitment and is passionate about working in a sports industry is preferred.
  • Previous recruitment experience in an established agency and/or a strong Sales development/Sales background is preferred but not essential.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Energetic and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for success.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Managing a high volume of sports officials daily
  • Recruiting sports coaches, umpires, and first aid officials to meet high demands of bookings
  • Create and post job ads on various platforms, including external job boards.
  • Manage job advertising platforms and social media platforms to attract new candidates.
  • Communicating with clients and staff members daily via email and phone.
  • Contributing to the development of business marketing to potential clients
  • Manage daily operations in the office, including but not limited to answering phones, corresponding with staff and clients, scheduling bookings, and confirming staff allocations
  • Undertake other projects and tasks as they arise, working both autonomously and as a team
  • Tasks include various administrative duties and data entry.
  • Availability to work in the office Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (Non-remote work)
