WorkSafe nets Victory deal
WorkSafe Victoria has become a major sponsor of the Melbourne Victory soccer club.
WorkSafe Chief Executive Clare Amies said it would let the agency promte health and safety to Victory fans across the state.
“The club has the largest membership base in the A-League, which makes it the biggest club in the most popular sport in Australia,” said Ms Amies.
“It has created one of Victoria’s largest sporting corporate networking groups, while its connections with local community and multicultural groups will give WorkSafe new opportunities to engage with more workers from diverse backgrounds than ever before.”
WorkSafe also has partnerships with AFL club the Western Bulldogs, AFL Vic Country and Netball Victoria.
“Sport is a wonderful way to connect with Victorians, and our partnership with Melbourne Victory gives WorkSafe a high-profile summer sport to share its messages once the football and netball seasons are over,” Ms Amies said.
“It means WorkSafe now has the ability to promote important health and safety messages to an incredible number of Victorians all-year round.”
Victory Chairman, Anthony Di Pietro said they will work closely with WorkSafe as a key community partner.
“WorkSafe is a trusted brand in this state, and it is fantastic news for Victory and its strong supporter base that the two organisations will be working together,” said Mr. Di Pietro.
“Using our extensive business, community, and multicultural programs, we will work closely with the team at WorkSafe to help deliver on their objectives.”
