Victoria to appoint Lead Scientist
The Victorian Government is recruiting a Lead Scientist to work with Chief Scientists of State Government agencies to provide high level, strategic advice to the Victorian Government on the role of science, technology and innovation in achieving the Government’s priorities.
The Lead Scientist will report to the Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher, through the Secretary of the Department of Business and Innovation.
The Lead Scientist will represent Victoria on high level science and technology related committees, including the Forum of Australian Chief Scientists, advising the government on developments in innovation and technology, and support community awareness of the contribution of science, technology and innovation to the State’s wellbeing.
The appointee will be engaged as an independent contractor.
