Ray Creen  has been appointed chief executive of the Ambulance Service of NSW.

 

The Director-General of NSW Health, Dr Mary Foley, has appointed Mr Creen for a five-year term. He is currently chief executive officer of the South Australian Ambulance Service, a position he has held for five years.

 

Having commenced his career as a paramedic, Mr Creen has had operational and leadership roles in ambulance in both the United Kingdom and Australia. He currently serves as deputy chair of the Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA), which is the peak body representing all Australian and New Zealand ambulance services.

 

Mr Creen will take up duties on March 18. The acting chief executive of the Ambulance Service of NSW, Mike Willis, will continue in the role until that time, after which he will become the service’s deputy chief executive and chief operating officer.
