NSW establishes procurement reform group
The New South Wales Government has announced the appointment of a new seven member advisory group that is tasked with providing expert advice to the procurement reform process.
State Minister for Finance and Services, Greg Pearce, said that all seven representatives on the NSW Procurement Industry Advisory Group possessed extensive industry experience.
“This is a fantastic group who have the skills and experience within Government, research institutions and the private sector in Australia and internationally to help drive the reform process,” Mr Pearce said.
The members are:
- Mr Garry Browne (Chair) – CEO and Managing Director, Stuart Alexander & Co Pty Ltd;
- Mr Peter North AM – Chairman, Streeton Consulting Pty Ltd;
- Ms Trudy Vonhoff – Non-executive Director, AMP Bank Limited;
- Mr Alan Bennett – General Manager & Vice President, HP Enterprise Services, South Pacific;
- Ms Irina Zvereva – Corporate Counsel, Caltex Australia Group;
- Mr James North, Partner, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and
- Mr Adrian Best – Director, Synerge Pty Ltd.
“The members have been selected from an impressive field of candidates for their innovative approaches to the challenges of procurement and their ability to represent industry to help drive efficiency and value for money,” Mr Pearce said.
