Last chance for comment on NSW planning issues paper
Submissions to the NSW Government’s issues paper on the NSW Planning System Review, entitled, The way ahead for planning in NSW?, are due by 2 March.
The issues paper addresses the objectives of new planning legislation that will provide the basis for a new planning system.
The new planning legislation will set out the framework for making plans and taking decisions about development and will define roles for those in the planning system – for everyone from the Minister to individual council officers.
It will also set the basis for community engagement, particularly in relation to how the planning system should serve the community’s social, economic and environmental goals.
The issues paper is available here.
