About the role
This newly created position is situated within a team critical to delivering upon Cenitex's procurement needs. This position will contribute to the ongoing procurement of ICT goods and services for Cenitex, supporting effective category management that maximises value for money in accordance with Victorian Government purchasing requirements.
As a Category Analyst you will provide support for the procurement of IT good and services, preparation and running of market activities. You will possess strong writing, drafting and communication skills and the desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement practices and processes.
Responsibilities will include supporting market events including RFQs, undertaking contract management activities, and assist in the timely performance of purchasing activities, to deliver optimum outcomes for Cenitex. Further, in conjunction with the wider team, the role will assist in refining procurement practices and procedures.
Your skills in executing timely and creative solutions to procurement activities will ensure success in this role. You will exhibit an ability to link commercial outcomes with the team's actions, based on your synthesis of market knowledge and internal data, as well as assist the Finance and Business Services department with information that supports their goals.
Ideally you will have a good understanding of procurement processes within government, the VGPB guidelines and a good working knowledge of the IT industry. You will be passionate about furthering your career in Procurement. You will pride yourself on your accountability and initiative, demonstrate a balanced approach to achieving compliance and results in a customer-centric manner, and be able to navigate various information systems and processes to enable you to hit the ground running.
Your strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to credibly communicate at all levels of the organisation; combined with your proactive and service orientated approach will see you excel in this role.
