About the role

The Community Engagement Officer role is within the Community Engagement Unit. The role involves developing and delivering community engagement activities to support the functions of Anti-Discrimination NSW and ensure we are meeting the needs of the people of NSW.

  • Develop and implement a range of state-wide community engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support the organisation’s community engagement and training activities.
  • Participate in community outreach activities as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Adult Education, community engagement or similar or equivalent experience.
  • Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel..

About you

The ideal candidate is dynamic, highly motivated and has experience working with different communities, with demonstrated ability working with multicultural and CALD communities. You will have experience:

  • Developing, delivering and evaluating community engagement and/or training projects.
  • Engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders including government and non-government organisations.
  • Working within a legislative context.
