This is an exciting time to join the NSW Department of Industry as we are currently expanding our in-house Legal Branch. We are seeking a range of experienced and motivated lawyers to fill multiple temporary and ongoing vacancies across various teams within the Branch.

As part of our Legal Branch you will liaise directly with executive and senior stakeholders, provide expert legal advice to service key client areas across the Department, drive the legal component of legislative reform projects, draft and review documents including contracts and agreements, as well as transferring specialist knowledge to colleagues.

  • Paralegals

About You

To be successful in our roles, you will demonstrate:

  • Eligibility to hold a current practising certificate as a solicitor in NSW
  • Proven experience providing advisory services at a senior level
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience building relationships with clients at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A flexible, adaptable and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong project management, research, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently as required and proactively manage competing priorities
