Remuneration: commensurate with qualifications & experience (Max $128,000 salary package)

The Role (Role Description) - This is a new role for the Department and will be responsible for developing and capturing science performance standards across the Department of Primary Industries (DPI). This will involve assessing various areas of science performance including quality metrics, biometric services, quality assurance, research ethics and gene technology processes.

 

This position will work closely with the science excellence team to improve biometrics processes and science policies and procedures for the DPI.  Your experience in developing professional relationships will be highly valued in this role. You should also have a strong history of developing high quality correspondence for Senior Executives.

 

The role reports to the Research & Innovation Officer and will need to address a number of key challenges, including undertaking complex research within tight timeframes. Ideally you will have experience in communicating key science messages to a broad range of audiences, including internal and external stakeholders, and both technical and lay audiences. If you are able to identify, analyse, understand and communicate key science performance measures, you are likely to excel in this position.
