$60,159 + 9.5% Superannuation plus loadings
- Permanent Full Time – multiple positions available
- 9 day fortnight rotating 10 week roster (day shift)

- 2 x Temporary Part Time, up until 22 June 2018 (subject to change)
- Job share arrangement - alternate shifts (week 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri) (week 2: Sat /Sun)

The Position…provides parking and local law compliance and proactively identifies non-conformance with the relevant legislation that assists in the improvement of parking utilisation and traffic flow for our great city. These roles also deal with littering issues for the benefit and safety of the community.
We are looking for enthusiastic and team orientated individuals who enjoy working in the great outdoors to join our team. We have several roles in a permanent capacity and two temporary part-time (job share) opportunity. You will work on a nine day fortnight rotating roster, and must be able to work between the hours of 6.00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Sunday. Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful individuals.
Parking Officers are service orientated roles that require strong customer service, interpersonal and negotiation skills. These roles take necessary action to achieve compliance, by issuing infringements and, where necessary, participate in the prosecution of offenders in the courts. In addition, you will be educating the general public about parking laws and restrictions.
These roles would ideally suit someone who likes keeping active, whilst working outdoors all year round.
You will have…
- A good level of fitness
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (weekdays and weekends)
- Sound computer skills including ability to use customer databases, the Microsoft Office range, and the ability to use portable devices
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to relevant regulations, Acts or Local Laws, or proven ability to quickly develop the knowledge required
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills including the ability to remain calm, objective and in control when dealing with customer issues and concerns
- Strong written communication skills
- Proven problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong skills in time management
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Possess and maintain a current driver's licence that permits the licence holder to drive on Victorian roads.
Due to the nature of these positions the ability to maintain a clear Police Check and Working with Children Check is mandatory, as is the ability to meet the physical requirements of the role under the attached Inherent Physical Requirements for a Parking Officer.
