Midwest Ports invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Operations Managers wanting to be a part of this exciting phase by ensuring the application of sound and effective operations processes.
Reporting to the General Manager, Landside Operations, the incumbent will be required to coordinate all "Landside" based operational activities including undertaking responsibility as the Registered Mine Manager as per the Mine Safety and Inspection Act 1994, managing the port's rail terminal, ensuring contractor compliance in operations and maintenance, assisting to plan and develop bulk infrastructure and working closely with the Engineering and Marine teams. The coordination, monitoring and managing of personnel and operational activities associated with plant, ship loading and port infrastructure are primary to the success in managing an effective team.
A Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or discipline is advantageous, and substantial prior management experience in a Port, Mine or Logistics environment is essential as is a thorough understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
