About the role

This role is responsible for leading the delivery of HR Business Partnering services to the Murrumbidgee, Far West & Western NSW Community Services District.  The main focus areas of the role include:

  • Providing proactive and evidence based HR advice to executives and key stakeholders, enabling the delivery of key District priorities
  • Partnering with the business to design and deliver tailored programs, change strategies, services and initiatives that support the District leadership team across a range of strategic and operational HR issues
  • Managing a range of key industrial relations risks across a District with a highly unionised workforce
  • Providing leadership, direction and support for a multidisciplinary HR team who are geographically dispersed across the District

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience as a senior HR business partner, preferably with exposure to complex client groups who are geographically dispersed and highly unionised
  • Proven ability to coach and support senior leadership through the implementation of key HR programs and initiatives
  • A strong understanding of contemporary HR practices and methodologies, coupled with high level knowledge of employment law and industrial relations legislation
  • Proven track record leading and managing multidisciplinary HR teams
  • Highly advanced written and verbal communication skills, coupled with an ability to successfully build relationships with diverse client groups
  • Formal qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
