What you’ll do: 

  • Undertake allocated activities and work to support projects within the  Water Quality Risk & Strategy team.
  • Contribute to project delivery, ensure quality of assigned tasks, support strategic programs, and identify improvement opportunities to protect and enhance water quality.
  • Provide technical support and advice, data analysis and interpretation and support with stakeholder management to contribute to the success of projects.
  • Prepare reports for the Water Quality Risk and Strategy team.
  • Undertake formal and on the job training and participate in structured placement activities to develop skills across a broad range of areas within WaterNSW.

What we are looking for:  

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • An understanding of one or more of the nominated fields:
    • Drinking water quality management principles
    • Aquatic ecosystems, hydrology or hydrogeology
    • Risk management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge in project analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and make reasoned judgements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in reporting on project and/or program progress metrics risks, issues, and dependencies. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
