What you’ll do:
- Undertake allocated activities and work to support projects within the Water Quality Risk & Strategy team.
- Contribute to project delivery, ensure quality of assigned tasks, support strategic programs, and identify improvement opportunities to protect and enhance water quality.
- Provide technical support and advice, data analysis and interpretation and support with stakeholder management to contribute to the success of projects.
- Prepare reports for the Water Quality Risk and Strategy team.
- Undertake formal and on the job training and participate in structured placement activities to develop skills across a broad range of areas within WaterNSW.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- An understanding of one or more of the nominated fields:
- Drinking water quality management principles
- Aquatic ecosystems, hydrology or hydrogeology
- Risk management principles
- Demonstrated knowledge in project analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and make reasoned judgements.
- Demonstrated knowledge in reporting on project and/or program progress metrics risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
