We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information.  We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities.

WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Legal Governance & Risk team based in Parramatta for a 12 month term role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of the Compliance Management Program in line with strategic business priorities in order to manage the company’s external compliance obligations, including our IPART operating licence.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Implementation of the Compliance Management Framework, and the subsequent compliance strategy and communication/engagement plan.
• Maintain and continually improve the Compliance Management Framework and relevant procedures and methods, including obligations mapping and compliance reporting.
• Verify the systems and frameworks within the remit of the position contain the appropriate content, are current and assessed to determine the effectiveness of implementation across the organisation.
• Manage and coordinate a full range of compliance management activities, including obligation mapping, identification of compliance related focus areas and reporting across the organisation.
• Provide accurate, insightful and timely reports on compliance management performance to facilitate sound understanding of the business’ overall exposure in relation to the organisations obligations.
• Develop and deliver education and awareness on WaterNSW’s compliance requirements.

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent analytical, prioritising and problem solving skills.
• Experience in the facilitation of compliance meetings and workshops.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and with reliable attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
